Provocation of burning the Holy Quran protest in Sweden

Approximately 500 people took part in the action organized by Muslim associations in Sweden. Demonstrators protesting the provocations demanded that the burning of the Koran be prohibited.

The protesters carried banners reading “Stop burning the Holy Quran” and “Stop insulting Muslims.”

In the statement made on behalf of the group, it was claimed that the burning of the Koran in Sweden hurt Muslims and a hate crime was committed.

It was claimed that the provocation was also an anti-Muslim (Islamophobic) attack, and there was a request to ban the burning of religious books.

Speaking to the AA correspondent, the chairman of the Party of Different Colors (Nyans), Mikail Yüksel, explained that burning the Koran is also legally wrong and that the law should be changed on this issue.

Yüksel, “Burning the Qur’an is a hate crime and has no place in democracies.” he used the phrase.

In Stockholm, the Swedish capital, Salwan Momika, of Iraqi descent, burned the Koran under police protection in front of the Stockholm Mosque on June 28.
