Heat alert in China: the hottest days since 1961
According to the CNN report, record temperatures have been recorded in the country in the last 6 months.
In the statement issued by the National Climate Center, it was indicated that this year there were four more effective heat waves in the country compared to previous years.
With an average of 35 degrees Celsius, the hottest days have been lived since 1961.
More than 200 million people in the north of the country are affected by air temperatures that exceed 40 degrees on some days.
Cou Bing, head of the China Meteorological Administration, said the extreme heat is related to El Nino weather events and therefore there is increased rainfall in the south of the country in summer and drought in the north.
Temperatures are expected to rise further in the north of the country.
