25 killed as bus crash catches fire in India
Baburao Mahamuni, a senior police officer in Maharashtra’s Buldana district, said in a statement that the passenger bus to Pune went out of control in Buldana.
Mahamuni stated that the bus carrying 33 people started to catch fire after crashing into highway barriers.
Explaining that 25 people died in the accident and 8 people were injured, Mahamuni noted that the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
