In the city of Nanterre, France, on June 27, 18 people were arrested in the events that broke out after the 17-year-old driver died as a result of a fire opened by the police.

In France, those who protested the murder of a 17-year-old driver named Nael M. at the hands of the police took to the streets in different cities such as Nanterre, Lyon, Lille, Toulouse and Viry-Chatillon.

According to reports in the French press, vehicles, garbage cans and public property were set on fire in different cities.

In cities like Toulouse and Lille, protesters over Nael’s death threw stones at police. The police intervened the protesters with tear gas.

18 people were arrested in the incidents.

On the other hand, a minute of silence was observed in the French parliament in memory of Nael.

On June 27, police opened fire on a vehicle in the city of Nanterre that failed to comply with the “stop” warning, carrying 3 people, killing the 17-year-old driver.

While the investigation into the incident was being initiated, the police, suspected of having opened fire on the young man, were detained.

In the images reflected on social networks, it can be seen that the policemen who opened fire were not in front of the vehicle, but at the height of the left front seat.

In the images it is evaluated that the vehicle collided with the post after the police officers fired the weapon aiming at the driver.
