“Ukrainian student pays 10,000 euros in tuition fees”
Ukrainian refugees who want to study will pay tuition fees for non-European students at most educational institutions in the Netherlands next school year. It’s around 10,000 euros. Those involved fear that this will make it impossible for Ukrainians to continue learning in practice, de Volkskrant said.
For the current academic year, the umbrella organizations Universities of the Netherlands and the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences have jointly made an exception for Ukrainian refugees. As a result, they paid the same tuition fees as Dutch students (2,209 euros in 2022). Normally, non-European students pay the cost of the course: around 10,000-15,000 euros per year.
Zelensky fires the head of the arms industry
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has fired the head of the state-owned Ukroboronprom, a state holding that includes several companies of the Ukrainian defense industry. Ukrainian media report that the firing is related to the production of the Sapsan short-range ballistic missile system.
Died after Russian rocket attack on Kramatorsk restaurant
At least four people have been killed in a rocket attack in the center of the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk. More than forty people were injured. According to the Ukrainian governor of the Donetsk region, a pizzeria was hit where a lot of people were eating at the time.
The building that houses the restaurant was partially destroyed. According to the interior minister, there is also a child among the wounded. He does not rule out that there are other victims under the rubble. Rescuers are still searching the rubble.
