Anna Malyar, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister, assessed developments on the eastern and southern fronts in the past week, in a statement on her social media account.

Stating that the Ukrainian army carried out defensive and offensive actions in the past week and achieved tactical success, Malyar said that the Russians carried out attacks in the directions of Liman, Bahmut, Avdiyivka and Marinka. Malyar said: “There are still violent clashes there. About 250 clashes took place in these addresses last week. The enemy tried to drive our troops out of their positions, but failed.”

Noting that the Ukrainian army launched an offensive over the weekend near Orihovo-Vasilivka, Bahmut, Bogdanivka, Yagidne, Klishivka and Kurdyumkova, Malyar said: “1 to 2 kilometers were advanced in each direction. “Right now, our troops are reinforcing the positions they have captured and continue to destroy the enemy,” he said.

Malyar pointed out that there were no significant changes on the southern front in the last week and stated that the Ukrainian troops continued their offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol and Berdyansk. Malyar said: “As a result of the improvement in the operational situation and the flattening of the front line in the last week, the area of ​​the liberated areas has increased by 17 square kilometers. The area liberated in the south since the start of the offensive has totaled 130 square kilometers.” he gave the information. (AA)
