Huge anti-US demonstration in North Korea
It was reported that an anti-American demonstration was held in North Korea on the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War with the participation of more than 120,000 people.
According to the North Korean official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the demonstrations in the capital, Pyongyang, were attended by workers and youth, as well as senior officials of the ruling Labor Party.
While slogans of “brutal revenge against the Yankee imperialists” were shouted in the demonstrations, the demonstrators affirmed that “it is their duty to reach an agreement with the US.”
In the demonstrations held on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War, in which more than 120,000 people participated, the participants blamed the US for the outbreak of the war.
The Korean War began on June 25, 1950, when North Korea invaded South Korea.
China and the Soviet Union supported North Korea, and the United Nations (UN) under US leadership supported South Korea during the war. (AA)
