Sandstorm paralyzed life: 330 people were hospitalized
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Sistan-Baluchistan Crisis Management General Manager Majid Mohibbi made a statement on the matter.
Mohibbi said 330 people were referred to hospitals and medical centers in the past three days due to fine dust carried by the dust storm in the provincial cities of Zabul, Zehek, Hamun, Hirmend and Nimruz.
Noting that 273 people who were taken to hospitals have been discharged, Mohibbi said treatment of 57 people is continuing.
Ali Mollaşahi, head of the Sistan-Balochistan Weather Prediction and Warning Center, said in a statement that they estimate that the dust storm in the northern regions of the province will continue until Monday and that the wind speed will reach 100 kilometers per hour.
Mollaşahi warned that people with heart and respiratory diseases should not go outside due to excessive dust in the air. (AA)
