More than 40 degrees: Pakistan on alert for high temperatures
According to national press reports, the air temperature in many cities in the country exceeds 40 degrees on average.
According to data from Weather, which provides a global weather forecast service, the temperature in the capital Islamabad reached 40 degrees, while the felt temperature was recorded at 48 degrees.
The temperature felt in the city of Muzaffargarh, where thermometers read 42 degrees, was also measured at 51 degrees. Many people in Muzaffargarh fainted due to the hot weather.
In Peshawar, where the temperature was 43 degrees, 9 students fainted.
While the public used air conditioners, fans and various tools to protect themselves from the heat, some citizens tried to cool off by washing their heads under the fountains.

Dozens of people who wanted to protect themselves from the heat of the Teksila region, near Islamabad, cooled off in the irrigation canal.
The inhabitants of the region, mostly young, noticed that there was no other place to swim and that is why they used the canal. (AA)
