Hakan Fidan’s critical meeting with the US
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met many of his counterparts on the sidelines of the UK-hosted conference in the capital London.
Fidan met with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lökke Rasmussen, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Austrian Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg.
Minister Fidan also met with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, US Foreign Minister Antony Blinken, British Foreign Minister James Cleverly, International Development Minister of Canada, Harjit Sajjan, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, Gordan Grlic Radman, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.
Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said on her Twitter account that they met with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the sidelines of the Ukraine Improvement Conference in London.
“Our joint support for a peace that respects the territorial integrity of Ukraine is a symbol of the rapprochement that France and Turkey must strengthen,” Colonna said. she used the phrase.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Jointly organized by the UK and Ukraine, the “Ukrainian Improvement Conference 2023” is the continuation of the annual events, the last of which was held on July 4-5 last year in the city of Lugano in cooperation with Swiss.
These conferences focus on Ukraine’s development and post-war reconstruction.
US Secretary of State Blinken, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa are among the names to attend the conference.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan represents Turkey at the conference.
The two-day conference, which also includes international financial institutions, representatives of the business world and non-governmental organizations, will discuss investment opportunities and risk reduction mechanisms to mobilize private financing in Ukraine, as well as investments to improve the country’s human capital.
