A swarm of locusts invaded the city: Doomsday claim
There is panic and fear in the town of Elko in Nevada, USA. The reason for this concern is the locusts that have taken over the city. The people of Elkos, who woke up in the morning, panicked to see locusts spread throughout the town.
The townspeople, seeing millions of locusts on the sidewalks, highways and other public spaces, alerted the authorities. Some users on social media said it was a harbinger of doom.
The grasshoppers, which penetrated many single-family homes, were said to have pillaged the fields and also created a traffic hazard. While the roads were reportedly slippery as grasshoppers were crushed by cars, authorities warned “drive carefully.”
Explaining that the grasshopper species, which has the ability to jump and walk, cannot fly, the scientists announced that this grasshopper species is completely harmless to humans.
Colette Reynolds, an American who lives in the area, said: “When I stuck my head out of the window, I saw that the whole wall was covered in locusts. This situation really scared me.”
