Israel retook the squares in week 24 of anti-government demonstrations
Israelis, who hold massive demonstrations every Saturday night against judicial regulation by the far-right coalition government led by Netanyahu, retook squares across the country in week 24 of protests.
According to the news on the website of the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot, tens of thousands of Israelis participated in numerous demonstrations held throughout the country, especially in the cities of Tel Aviv, West Jerusalem, Birussebi and Haifa.

The protesters, who often chanted “democracy” slogans with Israeli flags, carried banners criticizing far-right politicians in the coalition government.
IT WAS DELAYED BEFORE
The judicial reform, announced by Israeli Justice Minister Yariv Levin on January 5, includes changes such as limiting the powers of the Supreme Court and the power to have a say in judicial appointments.
On March 27, Netanyahu announced that he would delay the settlement, sparking an increase in protests and mass strikes across the country.
However, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that he would bring judicial regulation back to Parliament after Parliament approved the 2023-2024 budget last month. (AA)
