Boris Johnson has found his new job
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson became a columnist for the British tabloid Daily Mail.
Johnson, who resigned from his deputy post last week following the inquiry report by the committee set up in Parliament due to parties held at his residence during the Covid-19 period, was alleged to have repeatedly misled Parliament in the Partygate scandal.
Johnson, who accused the committee of trying to remove him from Parliament, stepped down as prime minister last year after a series of scandals.
DailyMail.com announced with a video that Johnson, one of Britain’s most colorful politicians, has started writing a column on the site. The newspaper specified that the weekly articles by the former prime minister will be published every Saturday, whom it described as “one of the most ingenious and original writers.”
Johnson, who said he would write what he felt in his posted video, also dedicated his first article to his own struggle to lose weight.
On the other hand, the fact that Johnson was a columnist provoked reactions. Many commented that the former prime minister’s involvement in the tabloid media created a risk of “conflict of interest”.
