Striking USA pass: One of the largest in the world…
The US “Ohio-class” guided ballistic missile submarine, USS Michigan, arrived at the port of Busan in South Korea one day after the North Korean ballistic missile test.
A new move came from the United States after North Korea conducted a ballistic missile test in response to the large-scale exercise between the United States and South Korea, in which live ammunition was used. In a written statement from the South Korean Defense Ministry, the United States has reportedly deployed the “Ohio-class” ballistic guided missile submarine, USS Michigan, to South Korea.
In the statement, it was stated that with the deployment of the USS Michigan, the South Korean and US navies will conduct an exercise to test their special operations capabilities against North Korean nuclear threats. No explanation was given for how long the USS Michigan, which arrived at the port of Busan in southeastern South Korea, would stay here.
USS Michigan, one of the US’s 4 “Ohio class” submarines, has the ability to launch state-of-the-art communications and guided missiles, as well as the ability to stealth. At 170 meters long and weighing 18,000 tons, the USS Michigan is known as “one of the largest submarines in the world.”
The United States last sent the USS Michigan to the port of Busan in 2017. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
