Helicopter crash shocks US in Syria: many soldiers injured

The US military announced that 22 of its soldiers were injured in a helicopter crash in Syria.

In the statement issued by the US Central Command, it was reported that the injured soldiers were taken to the hospital and an investigation into the incident was launched. The statement also indicated that the accident was not caused by “enemy fire.”

US forces in Syria are occasionally targeted by Iranian-backed groups. In March, it was announced that 23 US soldiers suffered brain injuries in two separate attacks.

FAULT ALARM IN MILITARY HELICOPTERS

Accidents involving helicopters in the US military have been on the agenda of late. In March, three soldiers were killed when a military helicopter crashed in Alaska. After some time, 9 people died as a result of the collision of two Black Hawk helicopters in Kentucky.

After these accidents, the US military suspended military flights within the country for a time.
