German brother-in-law, who lost his seat, divorces his Turkish wife
The former metropolitan mayor of Frankfurt, the financial center of Germany, Peter Feldmann, will divorce his Turkish wife, Zübeyde Temizel (37), who is the president.
Feldmann, who was accused of “beating his wife” because his wife Zübeyde, who is a kindergarten teacher, used her husband’s office to get a high salary and buy a private car, caused a huge reaction in the political world.
RELEASED BY THE PEOPLE
Feldmann, who had long resisted not resigning, was ousted from office by a vote of Frankfurters after he finally withdrew support from his own party. This was the first time in the history of Frankfurt. Feldmann, who married in 2016 and has a daughter by one of the Zübeyde 27 years his junior, has separated the houses since 2021.
It was learned that Feldmann, who was frequently seen in Frankfurt cafes after his presidency, made an appointment with the court for divorce two weeks ago.
“WE WORKED A LOT, IT WASN’T WORKING”
Feldmann is said to have confirmed to his circle that he filed for divorce, saying, “However, we will continue to jointly bear responsibility for our daughter.”
Feldmann stated that he tried very hard to manage the marriage with Zübeyde, but it was not possible to save it. Feldmann and Zübeyde met during the Frankfurt Film Festival. Currently, there is the Film Festival in Frankfurt again and the couple is divorcing in the eighth year of their relationship.
