Iran: We are enriching high levels of uranium

Speaking to the Iranian newspaper “Ittilaat”, Islami declared that his country continues to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Stating that they started to enrich uranium to a high level in accordance with the law passed by Parliament in 2020, Islami said: “High purity uranium enrichment was carried out to ensure the lifting of sanctions. “Uranium enrichment to 60 percent purity is based on the task assigned to us by the Strategic Action Act and we are required to implement it. They claim that Iran’s nuclear measures are for military purposes, but our primary goal is to enforce the Strategic Action Law, and the purpose of this law is to persuade or compel other parties to reduce oppressive economic sanctions against Iran.” he used his statements.

PERMITTED NUCLEAR DEAL 3.67 ENRICHMENT

The nuclear agreement, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (KOEP), signed in 2015 between Iran and the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the US, Russia, China, England and France, and Germany (5+1), gave Tehran 3 percent, gives it permission to continue enriching uranium to 67 percent.
