Evacuated civilians in Ukraine’s Kahovka region

Those who were evacuated from dangerous places with the joint work of the Ukrainian army, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and teams of citizen volunteers are transported by trains from Kherson to the city of Mykolaiv and from there to Lviv.
Civilians brought from Kherson to the Mikolayiv train station, where food and clothing are distributed free of charge to people in need, the AA correspondent said.
Larisa, 50, who was evacuated from the city of Kherson with her son and cat, said they decided to leave the area this morning.
Explaining that it is already difficult to live in Kherson as the Russian forces are under heavy artillery fire, Larisa said that they were also very afraid due to the flood that took place yesterday.
Stating that they had to leave their homes for an indefinite period due to both the attacks on the city and the flooding, Larisa said: “The situation in the city is very difficult. The left bank of the river is completely submerged. We live near the river. It is not clear what will happen.” he said.
Other people, like Larisa, who were evacuated from the towns and cities where they lived and headed to safer areas, stated that the floods caused several problems in the region and pointed out that they had to leave the areas where they lived.
THE KAHOVKA DAM WILL BE DISCUSSED IN NATO
The meeting, which will be attended by the ambassadors of NATO member countries, will discuss events in Ukraine and the impact of the Kahovka dam.
The meeting, chaired by NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg, will be attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba via videoconference.
Stoltenberg, in his statement on social media, claimed that he spoke to Kuleba about the impact of the dam, that thousands of people were displaced due to the dam collapse, and that Ukraine is facing an environmental disaster.
