The gift of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Erdogan became the agenda
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who was one of the people who witnessed President Erdogan’s swearing-in ceremony, had a conversation with the Erdogan couple and the gifts he brought from Pakistan were on the agenda.
While Pakistani media stated that Sharif brought mangoes to Turkey as a gift and gave them to Erdoğan, Sharif and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Emine Erdoğan chatted in the shared video footage.
“The people of Pakistan are very happy that he has been elected. Thank you very much for your invitation, you shared your happy moment with us.
The Sheriff’s gift became a hot topic in the local media. Pakistani media heralded the development with the headline “What gift did Prime Minister Sharif give to President Erdogan of Turkey?”.
“Half my sister, half my brother”
As Sharif says he brought mangoes from Pakistan as a gift, Erdogan can be heard asking: “Where are the mangoes?” Later, when those next to the couple learn that the mangoes have been sent home, Erdogan smiles as he shows his satisfaction by giving him a thumbs up.
The sheriff said, “Half of them are my brother’s and half are my sister’s.” Erdogan’s partner thanked Şerif for the statement and gift from him.
Erdogan was heard telling Sharif: “I know that Pakistani mangoes are very tasty and sweet.”
