In a statement issued yesterday by the Office of the President of Ukraine, it was indicated that “Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy held a video conference meeting with representatives of the British defense company BAE Systems, CEO Charles Woodburn, General Manager Gabby Costigan and the director responsible for cooperation with Ukraine Christian Seear. During the meeting, it was claimed that the parties agreed to open a BAE Systems office in Ukraine and then start work on establishing repair and production facilities for the company’s products.
The statement also included Zelenskiy’s statements on the subject. Emphasizing the importance of supplying new models and types of weapons to the country, as well as strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities against Russian invasion, Zelenskiy said: “We want to establish direct relations with your company without intermediaries, not only now, but also long-term.
