Erdogan’s statement from Russia: No invitation yet

Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov asserted that there is “high” momentum in the implementation of joint projects between Russia and Turkey, saying: “Of course, we hope that this momentum will continue.”

Peskov made remarks to reporters in the capital Moscow about the success of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the presidential elections. Assessing the possibility of Russian President Vladimir Putin attending the swearing-in ceremony to be held for Erdogan’s inauguration, Peskov said: “We will wait, no invitation has been received yet.”

Noting that President Putin is likely to meet Erdogan by phone in the near future, Peskov referred to Russia-Turkey relations. Spokesman Peskov said: “There is great momentum in the implementation of joint Russian-Turkish projects. Of course, we expect this momentum to continue. Because the goals in this area are really ambitious, ”he said. (AA)
