Critical US Poll: Republican Candidates Lead 2024 Presidential Election
A nationwide survey of registered voters conducted by Marquette Law School shed light on the 2024 presidential election.
In the poll, 52 percent of respondents said they would support Republican candidate Trump, while 47 percent preferred Biden.
If Florida Gov. DeSantis entered the presidential race against the Republican party’s Biden, DeSantis was also ahead of Biden with 48 to 52 percent.
Given the choice of Biden, Trump and another possible candidate in the poll, 41% said they would vote for Trump, 34% for Biden and 19% for another candidate.
In the option that excludes Trump from the equation and includes DeSantis, DeSantis 38%, Biden 37% and the other possible candidate 18%.
In both equations, between 6 and 7 percent of respondents indicated that they would not vote.
In the poll, only Republican candidates, when asked who party voters would prefer, Trump received 46 percent, DeSantis 25 percent, while Nikki Haley, the former permanent representative of the United Nations to the United States. , ranked third with 5 percent.
In the same poll conducted in March, the potential 2024 presidential race between Biden and Trump equaled 38 percent, while in the Biden-DeSantis race scenario, Biden had 42 percent and DeSantis 41 percent.
The Marquette Law School poll was conducted May 8-18 among 883 randomly selected registered voters nationwide. (AA)
