SWISS

The voting process, which was held in Switzerland on the occasion of the second round of the Presidential Elections to be held on May 28 in Turkey, has finished.

Voting at the ballot boxes installed at the Turkish Embassy in Bern and the Consulates General in Zurich and Geneva on May 20 was completed at 10:00 p.m. local time.

The bags containing the ballot papers used in Switzerland will be delivered tomorrow by ground to the transport commission at the Lyon airport in France and will be sent to Turkey by plane belonging to Turkish Airlines (THY).

According to unofficial figures, 14,221 people voted in Sweden, where 42,800 Turkish voters are registered. In the May 14 elections, this figure was 13,669.

The president of the AKP Sweden Election Coordination Center, Özer Eken, told Anadolu Agency: “Everything went well during the voting process. There was no mishap and there was great interest from our citizens. I hope that the results will be beneficial to our country and our nation.” Said he.

GREECE

In Greece, the voting process for the second round of the Presidential Elections in Turkey has finished.

The electoral process was completed with the closure of the polls in Greece, where the voting process continued until May 24 at the General Consulate of Turkey in Athens-Pire and at the General Consulates of Thessaloniki, Komotini and Rhodes.

With the polls closing at 10:00 p.m. local time, the votes were sealed by putting them in bags.

The sealed bags were taken to a private room with three locks on the door for safekeeping.

The sealed ballot bags placed in the diplomatic pouch will be on their way to be delivered to Turkey tomorrow.

The bags of votes at the Consulate General of Athens-Pire and the Consulate General of Thessaloniki will be transported to Turkey by a plane belonging to THY, the votes cast at the Consulate in Rhodes by sea, and the votes cast at the Consulate General in Komotini by land, accompanied by diplomatic couriers and party representatives.

According to YSK data, there were 11,714 registered voters in Greece in the first round of the elections, with a 12.7 percent turnout in the elections.

Aykut Unal, Turkey’s consul general in Komotini, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that all party officials and representatives work in harmony.

HOLLAND

The voting process for Turkish voters living in the Netherlands for the second round of the presidential elections to be held in Turkey on May 28 has been completed.

The voting process, which began on May 20 in the capital, Amsterdam, The Hague and Deventer, ended today at 10:00 p.m. local time (11:00 p.m. CEST).

Turkish voters living in the Netherlands were also able to vote for two days, on May 20 and 21, in the city of Eindhoven.

After the polls closed, the ballots were sealed and bagged under the supervision of the polling committee and observers.

The ballot papers will be delivered to the YSK by air transport to Turkey through the diplomatic courier.

In the first round of the 28th term presidential and parliamentary elections, 146,179 of the 286,753 registered voters in the Netherlands voted.

FRANCE

Voting ended in the second round of the Presidential Elections in Paris, the capital of France, where approximately 800,000 Turkish citizens live, and in the cities of Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux and Marseille.

In the cities of Orleans, Mulhouse and Clermont-Ferrand, Turkish voters cast their ballots over 2 days, on May 20 and 21.

The ballot papers in France will be sent tomorrow by air to Turkey.

Turkey’s consul general in Paris, Serdar Belentepe, said in a statement to the AA correspondent: “Thanks to the large number of ballot boxes, our citizens cast their votes very smoothly.” saying.

Belentepe said: “Our citizens showed their favor and ran to the polls.” He said that a disabled citizen traveled 200 kilometers in the second round and came to vote in Paris with his family, and there was a harmonious atmosphere during the voting process.

AUSTRIA

The voting process for the second round of the Presidential Elections to be held on May 28 in Austria has concluded.

Approximately 111,000 voters in the country cast their ballots at the Consulate Generals in Vienna, Salzburg and Bregenz from May 20-24.

Following the conclusion of the voting process, the Turkish ambassador in Vienna, Ozan Ceyhun, made a statement to the press.

Ceyhun stated that 67,726 people went to the polls in Austria and the participation rate was 60.47 percent.

Noting that voting rates increased everywhere in Austria and voters showed great interest in the polls, Ceyhun thanked all the officials at the polls for their dedicated work.

Ceyhun said: “We had a beautiful election in Austria where everything can be resolved by talking and discussing, even if there are minor problems, and a good example of citizenship and voting that will be an example for the whole world.” saying.

Stating that there were no problems at the polling stations during the electoral process, Ceyhun added that this was a beautiful “party of democracy.”

Turkey’s Consul General in Vienna, Cafer Mert Özmert, also stated that the ballot papers will be moved to Munich, Germany, in official vehicles tonight, and will be delivered there to Supreme Electoral Council (YSK) officials. (AA)
