Voters can travel to the Rhone Events & Congress Center (Amsterdam), GIA Trade and Exhibition Center (The Hague), De Scheg Sports Center (Deventer) and Van der Valk Hotel (Eindhoven).
At the end of the morning, a long line of people are waiting to cast their votes at the Amsterdam Convention Center, many of them families. Due to the warmer weather, bottled water will be provided. After previous brawls in RAI, the convention center also deploys additional security guards during the first round of voting. There are also police officers and traffic controllers. The atmosphere is pleasant.
Second round
In the second round of the Turkish elections, incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu are fighting. A new vote has to be taken because neither of them received more than 50 percent of the total votes.
In the Netherlands, Erdogan received over 68% of the total vote. Kilicdaroglu polled nearly 29 percent, Turkey’s state-run Anadolu news agency previously reported. In total, more than 145,000 of more than 250,000 voters in the Netherlands cast their ballots.
