Electoral ordeal in Germany

Turkish citizens living in Germany began voting for the second round of the presidential elections to be held in Turkey on May 28.

Turks in Germany, the country with the largest number of voters abroad with approximately 1.5 million voters, will be able to cast their ballots between 08:00 and 22:00 until May 24.

Citizens waiting for the polls to open early in the morning at the Turkish Consulate General in Cologne formed long queues.

Cologne voters began casting their ballots in 24 ballot boxes.

TWO KILOMETER QUEUE

In front of the Consulate General of Frankfurt, the queue of voters that reached two kilometers drew attention. Wait times exceeded three hours.

While various mosques, sects and AKP organizations transport voters from the farthest corners in buses and minibuses, it is believed that there is great interest as it is the first day of the voting process.
