Leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia meet
Before the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan made remarks on the tripartite meeting held with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and Aliyev on May 14 in Brussels.

Recalling that he met with the President of Azerbaijan on May 14 under the mediation of Charles Michel, Pashinyan noted that the two leaders endorsed the territorial integrity and mutual sovereignty of their countries under the United Nations Charter and the Almaty Declaration of 1991, and that this would form a basis for the work of the committee charged with determining the borders.

Pashinyan affirmed that, according to Michel’s statement, a partial consensus was reached on the release of the prisoners and detainees and the discovery of the fate of the disappeared, and affirmed that the issue will be discussed in the next meetings.

Mentioning the upcoming talks, Pashinyan noted that a five-way meeting will be held in Chisinau on June 1, within the framework of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit, mediated by French President Emmanuel Macron and the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and a similar meeting will take place in Grenada in October.
