On the news of the Italian state television news channel Rainews24, it was claimed that at least 3 people lost their lives and 3 people were missing in the flood disaster that has severely affected the Emilia Romagna region since yesterday. The body of the third person found in the morning was reported to have belonged to a German woman.

It was reported that 14 rivers and streams in the region overflowed their banks as a result of the heavy rains, while the streets and streets of cities such as Faenza, Cesena and Riccione were covered by floodwaters. It was claimed that there were serious communication problems in the region, power outages were experienced in many places and education in schools was suspended in some places where the situation was critical.

Civil Defense indicated that the area affected by the flood is very large and presents risks for rescue teams. The Municipality of Bologna, in its statement, advised the public to go up to the upper floors of its buildings, and asked them not to go down to the ground and under places such as basements, garages.

The Maritime and Civil Defense Minister, Nello Musumeci, shared the information that at least 5,000 people were evacuated within the Emilia-Romagna region. It was reported that Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi will go to the region at noon today to inspect the area.
