According to the news from the Mediapart newspaper, new information has been shared about the illegal and foreign wiretapping of some government members and journalists in France with the Pegasus system. Former French Defense Minister Parly was also among the victims of the spyware.

In the tests carried out on Parly’s phone, traces were found that he was listened to with this software between the years 2017-2022 when he was on duty.

Although he has not yet ruled on the information in question, Parly became the sixth minister in the country to be among the victims of this software.

The newspaper has yet to share details about when and by which country the wiretapping took place.

Radio France, in the news it published in July 2021, claimed in March 2019 that a Moroccan intelligence agency tried to track one of the smartphones that Macron has been using since 2017, mostly by communicating with journalists, with the Pegasus program. .

Within the scope of the investigation launched by the French judiciary into the complaints, it was determined that 23 names in the country, including ministers and journalists, were intercepted with this software. Thereupon, France demanded an official explanation from the Tel Aviv administration regarding the spyware called “Pegasus” produced by the Israel-based company “NSO Group”.

The French Opinion newspaper also mentioned on the agenda the diplomatic traffic between Paris and Tel Aviv regarding the Pegasus spyware, in which Macron’s phone was wanted to be tapped, and stated that he wanted France excluded from the phones he could. force.

Pegasus spy software, developed by Israeli cybersecurity company NSO Group, has been revealed to be used worldwide for spying activities such as intercepting phone conversations, recording voices, tracking emails, and taking photos from phones without the knowledge of users
