The Colombian peace process is in crisis

In Colombia, the armed rebel organization Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) reported that peace talks with the government fell into crisis when Colombian President Gustavo Petro questioned the unity of the organization within himself.

The statement highlighted that Petrov’s questioning of the unity within the organization put the peace talks in crisis and the importance of the government’s clear speech to be consistent with the entire world.

In the government statement it was indicated that the peace process is “important for the cessation of armed actions in the regions” and that both the government and the ELN must take responsibility for armed conflicts.
