5 dead, 700 injured by Hurricane Mocha

A statement from the Arakan Youth Charitable Association in Sittwe, the capital of Myanmar’s Arakan state, said that residents of the region took shelter in high-rise buildings against the risk of flooding, and more than 700 people were found wounds.

In local media news, it was reported that the lifeless bodies of 5 people were reached during the search and rescue efforts of the hurricane, whose speed reached 209 kilometers per hour.

Hundreds of thousands of people in coastal areas were evacuated due to Hurricane Mocha in Bangladesh and Myanmar.

As evacuations continued, people were urged to stay away from coastal areas.
It is estimated that the number of people evacuated in Bangladesh exceeds 700 thousand.
