The struggle of the Turkish workers in Germany ended in blood
Guns spoke at the gigantic Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen, Germany.
A worker of Turkish origin shot at the boss and another employee because they did not extend his contract at the subcontractor company. Ayhan B. (44) and Özkan K. (44) died. Another Turk was wounded. The 53-year-old suspect was taken into custody.
THE KNIFE RESISTED A DAY AGO
The incident occurred around 07:45 this morning. According to the information obtained, the 53-year-old attacker, who yesterday had an argument with the Konya boss, put a knife to his throat. It was alleged that the incident the day before was due to the non-extension of the aggressor’s employment contract, that the debate intensified and politics became involved.
The German press affirms that the debate began on the occasion of the elections in Turkey.
THE MORNING CAME WITH A GUN
The enraged assailant arrived this morning with a gun at factory 56, where models of luxury Mercedes brands such as Maybach, Mercedes S and EQS are produced. The attacker, who went to the logistics department here, shot both his boss and his assistant. Both people fell to the ground with bullets in their faces and backs.
THE MURDERER CAUGHT ON SITE
One of the two Konya Turks died immediately. The other was taken to the hospital by helicopter, but could not be saved. The attacker was caught by the police.
After the incident, the workers moved to Gottliebs-Daimlerstr. In front of the factory at number 5, he waited for the police to finish. This double murder in a Mercedes made headlines in the German media.
On the other hand, the main reason for the incident was not political; It was claimed that it started with whether or not the trade deal was extended, and that the parties then started getting angry with each other due to their political views. The Turkish workers claimed that the owners of the company, which had a logistics agreement with Mercedes, and the employee suspected of murder could not reach an agreement, and that there was hostility between them before.
