Bad news for social media influencers

Step to moderator of influencers in France

The Senate, which is the second chamber of the French Parliament, has approved the bill that provides for the supervision of the commercial activities of influencers on social networks.

French senators yesterday discussed the bill that brings control to the business activities of influencers on social media platforms. The bill, which brings a legal definition to the activities of commercial influencers, was unanimously approved in the Senate.

The bill will be discussed for the second time in parliament.

On March 30, the National Assembly, the other wing of the French Parliament, unanimously approved the bill to control the activities of influencers. The bill prohibits influencers from advertising alcohol and plastic surgery.

The number of influencers in France is estimated at 150 thousand. (AA)
