According to news from the Mexican press, police teams, evaluating a report, raided the house where the immigrants were forcibly detained in the town of San Luis Río Colorado.
Police teams managed to save 113 immigrants alive.
The authorities said that the people rescued are nationals of Colombia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, El Salvador, Ecuador, Honduras, India, Nepal and Afghanistan and will be transferred to the National Institute of Migration.
It was reported that 5 people who were said to be human traffickers were also detained as part of the operation.
While many immigrants in Mexico want to flee to the United States in the hope of a better life, they fall into the hands of gangs and organized crime groups.
