Ukraine trains stormtroopers for offensive Related articles

The Ukrainian military says it has nearly readied eight new “shock brigades” for the long-awaited Ukrainian counter-offensive. The British newspaper The Guardian writes it. The brigades of up to 40,000 soldiers are “fully trained” but need further training before they are combat-ready, according to Ukraine’s interior ministry.

Ukrainian soldiers fire on targets at the front towards the town of Ugledar in Donetsk. According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, the troops are being re-equipped and the training process will take another two to three weeks before they can be deployed alongside the Ukrainian army for “appropriate offensive operations”. According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, the troops are being re-equipped and the training process will take another two to three weeks before they can be deployed alongside the Ukrainian army for “appropriate offensive operations”. According to The Guardian, doubts had previously been raised whether the recruitment process for this strike force had been successful, especially as the number of Ukrainians willing to fight dwindles as the war drags on.

12 brigades

Unlike the Russians, the US and other Western allies do not provide public estimates of Ukrainian casualties. After all, this would be sensitive information that could undermine the position of the ally. However, leaked classified documents put the number of war dead in February at 15,500 to 17,500.

The leaked documents themselves would prove that Ukraine needs 12 new brigades to break through Russian defense lines. This would then involve three own brigades and nine brigades trained and equipped with Western Leopard and other tanks, armored vehicles and other equipment.

It is unclear whether the new assault force, which is to assist the regular army, is part of the required brigades or extra reserves. According to Minister Klymenko, the force was set up by the Interior Ministry, but after deployment it will be placed under the supervision of the Defense Ministry.
