Panic in Russia… Drone attack on the Kremlin: attempted assassination of Putin
As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, it was announced that a drone attack on the Kremlin was carried out tonight.
While Russia blames Ukraine, the drones allegedly attempted to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
While the Russian news agency RIA announced the incident, it described the attack as a “planned terrorist attack” and used the phrase “Russia has the right to respond.” Two drones were claimed to have attacked Putin’s residence but were blocked by Russian defense forces.
In videos shared on social media, smoke is seen rising from the Kremlin.
PUTIN’S HEALTH IS GOOD
While it was claimed that no damage was done to the Kremlin, it was claimed that Putin was not in the Kremlin at the time of the incident and was in good health. Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Putin was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack and that he is currently working in Novo Ogaryovo, on the outskirts of Moscow.
While local media outlets announced that two drones struck the Kremlin, videos shared on social media claimed that smoke was rising over the Kremlin. It was also recorded that Putin continued with his usual program.
The US media, on the other hand, drew attention to the ban on the use of UAVs over Moscow before this news broke.
After the statements by Russia, there has still been no statement from Ukraine.
