Ukraine will launch offensive against Russia
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has announced that his country is about to complete its preparations for a major offensive against Russian forces and is generally ready to act.
Speaking at the press conference, Reznikov said: “As soon as God’s permission, favorable weather conditions and the decision of our commanders are available, we will attack.” The minister did not report the start date of the offensive.
With this offensive, Ukraine hopes to divert the war that began with the Russian invasion of Ukraine 14 months ago.
Russia seized control of large tracts of land in the eastern, southern, and southeastern Ukraine. In its latest daily briefing, the Ukrainian army announced that the most intense fighting continues in the eastern city of Bahmut.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this week that almost all of the war equipment promised by Ukraine’s allies and foreign partners has been delivered to Ukraine. More than 1,550 armored vehicles, 230 tanks and other equipment, and large amounts of ammunition were sent to Ukraine.
Reznikov stated that his country has a lot of modern equipment, among which there are weapons that will serve as an “iron fist”, and the training of troops for some teams from the West continues.
