Biden warns North Korea: We’ll bring it to an end
US President Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol held a joint press conference after their meeting at the White House.
Biden, in his speech here, noted that bilateral relations have developed in the economy, technology, and many other areas, calling this a “success story.”
Explaining that the bilateral defense agreements are strong, Biden also stated that they are committed to the “extended nuclear deterrence” on the Korean peninsula against North Korea’s nuclear activities.
Biden affirmed that in this context the “Washington Declaration” was signed between his country and South Korea, and that the Nuclear Advisory Group (NCG) would be established to negotiate between the two countries in the face of nuclear threats.
Biden said that in this way they will establish closer cooperation with South Korea on nuclear deterrence and, on the other hand, emphasized that nuclear weapons will not be deployed on the peninsula, but visits by nuclear submarines.
Biden threatened North Korea, warning that it would be “unacceptable” for North Korea to carry out a nuclear attack against the United States or its allies and partners, and that such action would “destroy” any regime it does.
“TRUMP THREAT TO DEMOCRACY”
Biden, who also answered questions about his new candidacy announcement, said that despite concerns about his age, polls revealed that the American people supported his policies.
Biden said former President Donald Trump “posed a threat” to American democracy.
Regarding the debt limit, Biden reiterated his statement that they will not negotiate on this issue. (AA)
