It is day 427 of the war in Ukraine. Follow the latest news about the war and all its aftermath in this live blog.

Kiev and FBI collaborate to map war crimes

08:00 | Ukraine is working with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and US companies to collect evidence of war crimes committed by the Russians, such as geolocation and cell phone information. This was reported by the Reuters news agency, which quotes senior officials.

Ukrainian authorities have been collecting digital intelligence from battlefields and war-torn Ukrainian cities since Russia invaded the country last February, said Alex Kobzanets, an FBI special agent. “Collecting that data, analyzing it, and working with that data is something the FBI has experience with,” Kobzanets said Tuesday at a cybersecurity conference in San Francisco.

That work includes examining cell phone information, forensic analysis of DNA samples and analyzing body parts collected from battlefields, he said.

Zelenskyj calls for a kind of Nuremberg tribunal

07:45 | Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky said in his latest Telegram statement that “no one can feel safe” unless Russia is defeated and called for an end to the war with a “new Nuremberg”.

Every manifestation of Russian terror, every day of aggression is a further argument that all this must go to court – in a new Nuremberg against Russianism, against those who destroy lives and people, who use rockets against museums and guided bombs against churches . Russia must lose. The world can have no other purpose,” wrote Zelensky.

War tops the G7 agenda

07:15 am | Russia’s war in Ukraine is high on the agenda at next month’s G7 summit. The White House announced on Tuesday that US President Joe Biden would attend the meeting in Hiroshima, Japan.

G7 leaders – Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States – meet at the site of the world’s first nuclear strike, with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida hoping nuclear disarmament will become an important point of discussion .

Lavrov: Wheat deal ‘virtually no results’

07:00 | Moscow has seen “virtually no results” from a deal with the United Nations designed to boost Russian exports of grain and fertilizers, accusing Western countries of creating a stalemate, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday in New York.

Russia has indicated it will not agree to an extension beyond May 18 of an agreement allowing the safe export of grain from Ukraine’s wartime Black Sea ports unless a list of requirements to remove obstacles that remove exports. Speaking at a UN press conference in New York, Lavrov praised the work of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN Chief Assistant Martin Griffiths in trying to “reach an agreement with countries that have declared illegal and indirect sanctions against the Russian Federation.”
