Biden Launches Election Campaign for 2024 Presidential Race
Announcing his candidacy in the 2024 presidential election with a video, Biden delivered a speech hours later titled “Investing in America.”
“I make no apology for being labeled the most pro-union president in American history. I’m proud of that.” Biden said he’s running for president to rebuild the backbone of America’s middle class, to grow the economy from the middle out and from the bottom up, not the top down.
In his speech, the US president took aim at Republicans on abortion, tax breaks for the wealthy, expensive drugs, gun ownership and bigotry, while “in 2020, 55 percent of Fortune 500 companies paid zero taxes. It’s wrong to be like that. And I put a terrible tax on these men.” he used the phrases.
Biden said: “Let me be clear. No one making less than $400,000 a year will see their taxes go up by a penny.” saying.
Biden underlined his sensitivity about the preference for products made in the United States when talking about the investments made in his term to unionized workers.
Union workers responded to Biden’s words, who repeated the slogan from the candidacy video, which means “finish the job you started,” by saying “4 more years” and clapping.
