Thousands of people fleeing the conflict in Sudan flocked to the Egyptian border

According to Egyptian media reports, thousands of Sudanese and Egyptians fleeing the conflicts in Sudan, as well as people of different nationalities, gathered at the Arkin border gate.

The Egyptian side has implemented some legal procedures that will facilitate the entry of Sudanese who have passports due to the crisis in Sudan, as long as coordination with the Egyptian embassy is ensured.

NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT IS MADE

Buses were brought to the border crossing to transport those coming from Sudan to the southern Egyptian city of Aswan.

No official statement was made by the Egyptian and Sudanese authorities on the number of people arriving at the border.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on April 23 that it had evacuated 436 citizens of Sudan.
