Panic over explosive-laden drones in Russia
While an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) carrying explosives crashed in Russia’s Moscow region, an attempt was made to attack Russian warships in Sevastopol, Crimea, with naval UAVs.
According to news from the Russian news agency TASS, a UAV carrying explosives was detected to have crashed in the Moscow region. In details reflected in the Russian press, it was reported that the UAV is a Ukrainian-made UJ-22 Airborne model and carries approximately 500 grams of C4.
ATTEMPT TO ATTACK THE RUSSIAN NAVY
Mihail Razvojayev, the so-called governor of Sevastopol in Russia-annexed Crimea, said in a written statement that attempts were made to attack navy ships stationed in the city’s port.
Noting that an attacking naval UAV was destroyed, Razvojayev stated that another naval UAV detonated itself. Razvojayev stated that no damage was reported in the area due to the attack and that all units are on alert. (AA)
