Saudi Crown Prince Salman had a phone conversation with Putin
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In its statement on the meeting, the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “The parties expressed their satisfaction with the level of coordination in OPEC Plus, which is aimed at ensuring the stability of the world oil market. The prospects for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the BRICS were also assessed. The two leaders exchanged views on various aspects of events in the Middle East in the context of efforts by Russia and Saudi Arabia to resolve regional crises.
The term BRICS refers to the economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa and is the cooperation mechanism established in 2009. It caused comments in the world press that it was established as an alternative to the G7 countries.
