Ukraine: Patriot systems we received increase the ability to hit a ballistic target
Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov, in a statement on his social media account, stated that air defense and anti-missile systems are important for the defense of Ukraine.
Noting that getting multi-level anti-missile and air defense systems as soon as possible is one of his priorities, Reznikov said: “This means the protection of our cities, critical infrastructure and people.” he used the phrase.
Reznikov; He claimed that the Patriot air defense systems supplied by Germany, the Netherlands, and the US to Ukraine “increase the ability to hit a ballistic target that wasn’t there before.”
Noting that Germany’s IRIS-T defense systems also increase its ability to combat cruise missiles, Reznikov said: “IRIS-T has proven to be perfectly similar to NASAMS.” he made the statement of it.
Reznikov stressed that the MiG-29 aircraft supplied by Poland and Slovakia will strengthen Ukraine’s defense against Russian missiles and Iranian drones.
Stating that all the defense systems in question have just arrived in Ukraine and are in the ranks of the defense forces, Reznikov stressed the continuation of military support.
Noting that they need platforms and ammunition at different levels, Reznikov said: “We need more man-portable air defense systems.” he used the phrase.
Pointing out that Western-sourced aircraft are also needed, Reznikov said:
“On every platform we heard for the first time the answer ‘No, that’s impossible.’ Now they protect our airspace. The stronger the air defense, the more resources Ukraine can use to win the war, and the sooner our people will return home.”
