In the written statement made on the Israeli army’s Twitter account, it was noted that the decision was made in accordance with assessments of the security situation and orders from the Israeli administration.

It was reported that the closures during Memorial Day and Independence Day will cover the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It is indicated that the closure will take effect from Monday, April 24.

In the statement, it was noted that during the lockdown, tickets for humanitarian, medical and exceptional cases will only be allowed after the approval of the Activities of the Government of Israel in the Palestinian Territories.

Remembrance Day, organized by Israel to commemorate the soldiers who died in its wars, falls on April 25 of this year on the Hebrew Calendar; Independence Day, on which Israel’s founding activities take place, falls on April 26. (AA)
