The number of people who lost their lives in the fire that broke out in the hospitalization section of a private hospital in Beijing, the Chinese capital, has risen to 29.
According to Beijing Daily news, authorities reported that 8 more deaths were detected in the fire that broke out at Beijing Changfing Hospital in Fingtay district yesterday afternoon. According to the first determinations, the loss of life increased to 29 in the fire, in which 21 people lost their lives.
While the east wing of the hospital building, where the fire occurred, was closed, outpatient services were interrupted. In addition, the stock market operations of the company to which the hospital is affiliated have been suspended.
After the fire that occurred yesterday at noon, firefighters, health and emergency teams traveled to the region, while 71 patients were rescued and evacuated. Images of people hanging with sheets from the windows of the hospital building in smoke during the fire and trying to reach the ladders extended to the wall of the building appeared on social networks.
