Attack with weapons at a birthday party in the US
Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Police Department stated at the press conference on the attack that 4 people lost their lives in the attack that took place at a venue where a birthday celebration was held on Saturday around 10:30 p.m.
Burkett, who did not provide details about the person or people who carried out the attack, who reported that at least 20 people were injured and the number of injured, said investigations into the attack are continuing. Burkett stated that the public will be updated on the issue.
WHITE HOUSE STATEMENT
In the White House statement, it was revealed that President Joe Biden was informed about the attack. Biden and the White House are closely monitoring the situation, the statement said, adding that they are reaching out to law enforcement and local officials to offer support.
“This morning, I grieve with the people of Dadeville and my Alabama brothers and sisters,” Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey wrote on Twitter. Violent crime has no place in our state.” she used the phrase. Ivey reported that they are looking closely at the matter.
Authorities have not yet ruled on whether there were any arrests related to the shooting.

Speaking to the Associated Press, the Rev. Ben Hayes, a local resident, said the attack happened at a 16-year-old’s birthday party, so most of the victims were teenagers.
“One of the young men killed was one of our star athletes and he was a great guy,” Hayes said. So he knew most of these students. Dadeville is a small town and this attack will affect everyone in this area.” he said. (AA)
