Biden election statement: “I’ll announce it soon”

Speaking to reporters during his trip to Ireland, Biden said of next year’s presidential election: “I already did the math. I’ll announce it soon.” Biden said his trip to Ireland bolstered his sense of optimism about what could be done, saying, “I’ve already said my plan is to run again.”

In a question about Jack Teixeira, who was arrested the day before for disclosing military information belonging to the US military on the Internet, Biden said he had instructed them to get to the root of how he gained access to sensitive information. Biden stated that the investigation of the classified documents will not take long.

Teixeira, 21, a member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, appeared before a judge in Boston yesterday and was charged with posting classified documents on the Internet.

It was noted that the documents leaked online included information about possible defense vulnerabilities in Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, and the number of UK special forces allegedly active in the country.

The leak was first revealed when some members of the group posted parts of the documents on a public online forum. (AA)
