Scientific research: a development has been found to prevent strokes and heart attacks

According to the New Atlas news, scientists from the Department of Cancer Research at the University of Sydney examined the effects of limiting the circulation of neutrophils in the vessels, which are necessary for the treatment of wounds in the body.

In the research, it was revealed that by limiting the movement of neutrophils, diseases such as heart attacks and strokes caused by chronic inflammation can be prevented by preventing inflammation buildup and white blood cell damage to tissues. healthy.

From the research team, Dr. Joyce Chiu stated that the protein called protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) can ensure the adhesion of cells to vessels, noting that with the help of PDI, circulating neutrophil polymorphs can be limited in the glasses

Chiu noted that new drugs can be produced that block the movement of neutrophils in the vessels, saying that blocking the movement of neutrophils can also prevent chronic inflammation by preventing infection from accumulating in the wound area.

Dr. Chiu noted that the research could limit the extent of inflammation, opening the door to new treatments for people with chronic inflammation and heart disease.

Results of the study were published in Circulation Research, the journal of the American Heart Association and the Council for Basic Cardiovascular Sciences. (AA)
