The Spanish construction giant moves its headquarters to Amsterdam Related articles

The shareholders of the Spanish construction company Ferrovial have approved plans to move its headquarters to Amsterdam. There has been a lot of turmoil in Spain over the relocation plans. For example, the company would primarily pursue tax benefits.

The Spanish government is very unhappy with the construction multinational’s relocation plans. The company doesn’t care: the move should be completed in the autumn of this year.

According to critics, Ferrovial would pay millions of euros less in taxes every year after moving to the Netherlands. However, the company itself says it primarily wants a Wall Street listing. It would be easier with the headquarters in the Netherlands. The company also praises the Netherlands’ legal stability and AAA rating.
