Very harsh Black Sea statement from Putin’s right-hand man
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who is one of the most trusted names of Russian President Vladimir Putin, today made a very strong and clear statement against NATO.
NATO members Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania, along with Ukraine and Russia’s main name in the Black Sea, said the Black Sea will never be a “NATO sea”.
In a statement today, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba addressed NATO members and demanded that NATO assume a greater role in Black Sea security.
THE KULEBA LIKE THE BALTIC SEA
Kuleba attended the event held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, via videoconference.
Kuleba said: “The Black Sea is of vital importance in making Europe a peaceful and future-oriented region. But unfortunately, it also shows how quickly things can grow if someone ignores the threats. Now is the time to turn the Black Sea into a NATO sea, like the Baltic Sea,” he said.
